Harper's BAZAAR: Then tell me, how did you lot end up on Season ii of Scream Queens?
John Stamos: Well I put a lot of free energy into my Grandfathered evidence—
HB: I actually loved that evidence, by the way, I'1000 devastated that it was cancelled.
JS: I was bummed out too. I gear up out to do that bear witness to requite people exactly what I idea they wanted of me—you know, that kind of character that I played—merely it seemed similar people didn't respond to information technology. HB: And then it'due south safe to say that Dr. Brock Holt is darker than your characters from the past. Is he your darkest role still?
JS: Other than some cheesy TV movies I did in the '90s, yes. I think what Ryan and his team are doing is what I e'er wished people would do and trust that I could pull off a character that's not perfect. In other words, they're ever saying in scripts for me, "Allow's make John more likable, blah blah blah…" And I always said, "I'll be able to pull off playing an unlikable character because inherently, I call up I'm likable." These guys just got that and were like, "Oh, he'll be able to pull this off because he's a likable guy but let's brand him do some not-and so-likable things." I retrieve Brock ways well, although I'm right in the thick of being a prime suspect as the killer and they don't tell us who the killer is. And I'm doing things that would lead y'all to believe that one of the murders could've very well been done by me. I'm certainly acting like it could be me. He's very dark and extremely arrogant.
HB: I imagine that'due south a dainty departure from your roles of the past.
JS: Yeah, it'south very freeing and it'southward pushing the boundaries for a television graphic symbol that I can play.
HB: Speaking of your characters from the past, are you tired of the whole Uncle Jesse affair at this betoken? I tin't imagine how many times y'all've had to hear the words, "Have mercy!"
JS: Well, it's been almost xx or 30 years. It'due south gone in waves. When we finished Full House I wanted null to exercise with it—not that I didn't like it—but I wanted to motility abroad from it and I did. HB: I definitely watched it in reruns, but I didn't know they were reruns at the fourth dimension.

Today I'm working with Glen Powell [who plays Chad Radwell], who I absolutely adore, and last week I worked with Emma [Roberts] and Glen. I'yard in a story line for two episodes right at present where we're in love, Chad Radwell and Brock Holt. In fact, we did a pretty dramatic shower scene the other 24-hour interval. Information technology's merely outrageous [laughs]. I liked final season but I think this season being filmed in a hospital is a little more accessible. We're doing things you tin can relate to a little more than. The girls are all a niggling more relatable, I remember. When you say information technology's a "star-studded cast," I think with me, sometimes you get confused because yous see the girls, they're all such big stars, they're big on social media and they wait cracking but sometimes their acting gets disregarded past all that. But these girls are really good. I hateful, they have chops, they have existent craft. There was a scene the other mean solar day with Jamie Lee Curtis and all of them and it's nearly like watching four or v really good musicians play. They're all so young. I'm like, "How did you get and then good?!"

Having said that [laughs], aye, there was originally this locker scene where I come up in and change my shirt and the girls are in there. Somehow that turned into a slow-move sexy shower scene where I'm loofah-ing myself with a sponge.
HB: That's also very serious acting not to be overlooked though…
JS: [Laughs] Well I've actually never done this kind of thing and I feel like Farrah Fawcett or Raquel Welch when they posed nude in Playboy, like "I'grand gonna evidence my torso!" I don't know, I fought it at first and then I said, "oh, f*ck it, what practice I accept to lose?" Although I'm standing next to Glen Powell, who's like a God. And so we had a scene in the shower room and so they simply wrote information technology in! I got the funniest electronic mail from the lawyer, out of the blue, information technology said, "You're going to be doing nudity." But you read the contract and it's actually about the fact that they have a right to pick a body double for you. That was the main thing in the contract. Similar what!? Y'all desire me to do a nude scene and at present you want to evidence someone else's butt? That's not what happened.
HB: You've remained actually skillful friends with your by co-stars, like Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Josh Peck…is there anyone from Scream Queens who you really bonded with in particular?
JS: Well Jamie [Lee Curtis] and I accept been friends for a while. I was such a huge fan of her father. I recollect sometimes she sees her father in me, which is the highest compliment because I love Tony Curtis. So we've bonded and similar I said, I really enjoy working with Glen [Powell]. He's very talented. I hate to be the older guy on the ready but I approximate I've turned into that. It'south crazy, these kids on ready are so sharp and cool. When I was in my 20s I didn't know shit.
HB: But you lot were precipitous and cool when you were in your 20s.
JS: I don't know, I look back at some of the crap I was wearing and the hairstyles. These younger kids—I think growing upwards with social media, they're just savvy. They simply get it at a younger age, it'southward so interesting to watch.
HB: Are you lot all the same going to be doing the second season of Fuller House along with Scream Queens?
JS: Yeah, in fact today I'thou filming both. I produce all the Fuller Business firm episodes so I'm around as much equally I can and I look at the scripts and cuts. But the legacy cast, as I phone call us, we're doing three episodes for this flavour [of Fuller Business firm].
HB: You've done so many unlike TV shows, movies and stage shows in the past. Is there anything y'all've acted in that you tin't bear to watch anymore?
JS: Yeah, a lot of them! I in detail that's been popping up is this horrific motion-picture show I did called Never Too Young To Die. If you're e'er bored you should check it out. I made it when I was nineteen or twenty and I was supposed to be this immature James Bail guy but information technology'southward the cheesiest, virtually awful movie. Factor Simmons is in it and he plays a transvestite, sort of like Rocky Horror Moving-picture show, and I ever thought this movie has to be one of those cult movies they play on the weekends. It's starting to happen around the country. It's beautifully awful.
HB: You simply turned 53, but it seems similar you're just getting better-looking with age. Practice y'all have any skincare or beauty secrets you can share with u.s.a.?
